Widow Jane Distilling Company, a distinguished and award-winning whiskey producer based in Brooklyn, proudly commemorated its thirteenth year of operation with an exceptional celebration. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the company transformed its Red Hook premises at 218 Conover Street into an elaborate tapestry of whiskey, cuisine, music, and mystique for its 13th Anniversary Party.

Attendees embarked on a journey through various sections of the distillery, including the courtyard, warehouse, and bar, each meticulously designed to offer an immersive experience rich with themes of destiny and fortune. Central to the festivities was Widow Jane's acclaimed Lucky Thirteen Bourbon, symbolizing a toast to thirteen dynamic years of innovation and excellence. In addition, guests had the opportunity to savor an array of distinguished offerings such as Widow Jane Aged 10 Years, Applewood Rye, Baby Jane, and the illustrious Black Opal Aged 20 Years, expertly finished in rare Mizunara Oak casks. The Decadence, crafted from 10-year-old Bourbons and aged in barrels previously housing New York's finest artisanal maple syrup, further enriched the tasting experience. A unique highlight was the opportunity to "whiskey thief" a sample of the Black Opal Aged 20 Years, an exquisite expression supplemented with Mizunara Oak.

The tasting journey extended to the back of the Barrelhouse, where connoisseurs could appreciate The Vaults’ limited releases from 2023, 2024, and 2025. These remarkable blends consist of 15-year-old bourbons sourced from Widow Jane's collected vintage barrels. Each release is distinctly finished: The Vaults 2023 in a Chinquapin Oak cask, The Vaults 2024 in Mizunara Oak, and the latest, The Vaults 2025, in Mythological Oak casks. These finishing casks, crafted from oak trees endemic to the ancient forests surrounding Amfilochia on Greece's Mediterranean coast, bear the marks of frequent lightning strikes, infusing an element of mythos and perhaps a celestial essence into the wood. This storied wood enriches the whiskey with notes of wild honey, mountain sage, and dried fig, significantly enhancing The Vaults' complexity, depth, and finish. True to Widow Jane's esteemed reputation, The Vaults 2025 undergoes non-chill filtration and is proofed with limestone-rich water sourced from New York's historic Rosendale Mines.

The evening unfolded with an array of exceptional Widow Jane whiskey samples, complemented by the lively sounds of music emanating from a stage at the loading dock, filling the courtyard with rhythm. Guests were treated to culinary delights and unexpected surprises at every turn, culminating in a memorable event that celebrated Widow Jane's remarkable legacy and forward-looking spirit.
